Grammar Point: 〜しかない
You can use this grammar point when you say ‘there is no choice but do …’. Simply add しかない to a dictionary form verb. In the quote, tanjiro combines 「生きていく」(go on living) with しかない to mean ‘there is no option but go on living’.

傘を忘れたから、雨の中を歩いて帰るしかない。
kasa o wasureta kara ame no naka o aruite kaeru shika nai

Similar Grammar Point: しか Verb ない
There is another grammar point that looks quite similar to this but whose meaning is slightly different. And that is [Noun]+[Verb ない]. This grammar point refers to ‘only do Noun’.

boku wa bejitarian dakara yasai shika tabenai
Since I am a vegetarian, I only eat vegetables.
毎日、あさごはんはシリアルしか食べません。

I can only do this.
You can only combine a time word such as 十分 (juppun: ten minutes) or 十日 (tooka: ten days) with しかない to say ‘there is only [time] (left)’.
大切なテストまで、あと三日しかない。
taisetsu na tesuto made ato mikka shika nai
There are only three days left before my important test.
